Ingredients:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of Karo Light Corn Syrup
- 1 cup of creamy peanut butter
- 6 cups of corn flakes OR crispy corn cereal
Preparation:
In a heavy, metal saucepan over medium heat, mix together the peanut butter, corn syrup and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and remove the heat. Next, add the corn flakes. You also want to mix well into small balls. Be careful not to burn yourself on the hot mixture. Last, but surely not least, be sure to share with anyone who loves these delicious balls of joy. Do not forget to eat and enjoy!
On a late summer evening, my family and I went to Greers Ferry Lake. It was sunny, and we were wanting something chewy and delicious. My grandmother, Juju, is notorious for making her delicious Peanut Butter Chewies. In the mean time, she decides to cook a batch of them! Peanut Butter Chewies are one of our favorites in the Watson family. "Y'all go on down to the lake while I make some of these chewies," Juju suggested.
Once Juju got the chewy mixture into balls, she lets them cool. She put them a box and brought them to us in the boat. We were tubing by the time she got down there. When you go tubing, you always seem to get tired than you usually are. "Juju did you bring the chewies?" my brother asked. :I'm Superwoman to the rescue today, Price. You asked just in time!"
Once Juju passed out all of the chewies to us, we scarfed them down like a bunch of hogs. When you begin to eat them, you just cannot get enough. Once you put them in your mouth, they just begin to melt. You can't ever just get one of Juju's Peanut Butter Chewies. If you have one, you'll be coming abck for more!
